There are two shortcuts:
Either: Alt-GG (M-g-g)
M-x and type “goto-line”
Stylesen has ingeniously provided a way to use an Alternate key for this. He has chosen Ctrl-l for the Jump to line No Shortcut, which requires the following in the file ~/.emacs:
