Installing Google Chrome on Ubuntu and Debian with apt-get

Step 1. Add sources for stable version of Google Chrome (You may not need this in xenial and later versions, since it automatically adds /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list)

wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -
sudo kate /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google.list

Add the following line to google.list:

deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main

Step 2. Update package lists and install Chrome

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install google-chrome-stable
