Managing trash in Ubuntu 11.10

In Nautilus or Dolphin, you can see the trash by going to the location trash: where you can select and delete or restore files.

But if you want to remove them fast and from command line, the actual location is

~/.local/share/Trash
where the organization of the local trash is like this:

/home/droidzone/.local/share/Trash/
|-- files
|-- info
`-- metadata
To clean up trash completely:

sudo rm -r ~/.local/share/Trash/*
System trash on the other hand is at:

/root/.local/share/Trash
which is exactly the same 🙂
